student organization: Reach

Thank you for supporting our work.

The Haas Center welcomes and values all gifts, large and small, multiyear and annual, expendable and endowed. You can make a gift of cash or securities or set up a bequest of any size to help underwrite the future for public service education at Stanford.

The Study of Undergraduate Education at Stanford (SUES) calling upon the university to embed community-based learning into the core academic experience has given new impetus for our work:

“Between the vision and leadership of the Haas Center, the energy and entrepreneurialism of Stanford students, and the awakening interest of academic departments and programs, Stanford has the potential to become a national leader in community-based learning. It should aspire to nothing less. Community-based learning not only advances the fundamental aims of a Stanford education, it also exemplifies the fundamental character of the institution.”

Never before has the Haas Center’s work been more integral to Stanford's academic mission and distinctive identity. As community engagement assumes a more central place at Stanford, the Haas Center plays a key role in helping realize this educational vision. At the same time, the center recognizes that lofty aspirations will only be realized if the center’s financial support grows commensurately. Your contribution helps the center fund the following priorities:

  • Student Leadership Development
  • Faculty and Graduate Student Engagement
  • International Service Experiences
  • Full-Time Quarter-Long Public Service

Donor Circles

Directors’ Circle ($10,000–24,999) and Leadership Circle ($25,000 or more) members are provided with special communication from Haas Center student leaders and staff in the donor’s area of interest. They are also invited to special events and to advise on new and ongoing initiatives and the growth of public service education at Stanford University.

Annual Fund

Annual and reunion gifts to the Haas Center provide an opportunity for alumni and friends to have a powerful and direct impact on the development of public service leaders. Multi-year pledges help ensure a stable flow of unrestricted funding. Five-year commitments (to fit with the reunion giving cycle) are especially welcome.
