Impact Abroad

Impact Abroad: ArgentinaImpact Abroad trips are new to the Haas Center as of 2008. They allow Stanford students to focus on specific issues, such as healthcare or microfinance in developing nations, and introduce them to a global perspective on public service. Trips are currently offered in three different countries each summer, and each trip is 3 to 4 weeks in duration. During Spring Quarter prior to the trip, selected participants will take part in a one-unit course offered by their trip leaders and a faculty sponsor. This program is designed to provide students who have not traveled extensively or participated in an international service-learning experience the opportunity to be involved in a meaningful and rewarding project.

In 2009 students traveled to Argentina, India, and Nicaragua.
