Impact Abroad introduces Stanford students to a global perspective on public service. The program's courses and trips allow undergrads to focus on specific issues-such as healthcare or microfinance-in developing nations. Trips are offered during the summer and are 3 to 4 weeks in duration. During Spring Quarter prior to the trip, selected participants take part in a one-unit course offered by their trip leaders and a faculty sponsor. Impact Abroad is designed to provide students who have not traveled extensively or participated in an international service-learning experience the opportunity to be involved in a meaningful and rewarding project.
The participant application and information regarding summer 2012 trips will be available at the beginning of winter quarter 2012.
