Joining a student service organization is a primary way for students to get involved with service at Stanford. With more than 100 public service organizations on campus, students work toward social justice on a broad range of issues through direct service, activism, advocacy, politics/policy, philanthropy, and research. Gain Valuable Leadership Skills with SOLP
The Service Organization Leadership Program (SOLP) prepares 10–15 student service organization leaders with the organizational management skills and peer connections necessary to effect positive social change. Facilitated by the Haas Center for Public Service, SOLP is geared for students who are leading service organizations on and off campus. Learn more
Starting a New Student Group
A public service organization that receives feedback early in its creation is more likely to succeed. Before applying for new group approval status from the office of Student Activities and Leadership (SAL), email Kristen Azevedo to schedule a brief feedback session. Please note: new student organization proposals will not be reviewed and approved by the University until after the November 2, 2012 deadline. For more information, please visit the SAL website.
