All of these collections of information are available through the menu on the left hand side of this page.
The three areas ... courses, scheduling, and Stanford Bulletin ... have a lot of crossover, so we recommend that you acquaint yourself with all this material.
PeopleSoft is Stanford's system of record, and it drives, among other things, all course scheduling as well as the student information portal called Axess. Administrative Systems, which is responsible for PeopleSoft has some general notes about it .
For training, see the PeopleSoft Learning Center . The site includes complete instructions and access to the online training courses.
You will need to complete at least:
When you have completed each section, return to the PeopleSoft Learning Center , click on the relevant completion certificate, download and print it, and follow the directions on it.
The bottom section of the PeopleSoft Training Center has information on how to get access to PeopleSoft.
Staff responsible for courses, sheduling, and/or Stanford Bulletin must subscribe to our course setup and studadmin mailing lists. These mailing lists are self-service, and instructions are provided on the Registrar's mailing lists page.
Some changes to course and scheduling are made directly in PeopleSoft by you (and then vetted and approved by the Registrar's scheduling staff). Other changes are made on the Registrar’s Courses and Scheduling web forms which are located in PeopleSoft. See our Course and Scheduling Entry Deadlines page for information on entry deadlines and where to enter this information.
The Registrar's Office provides training annually at the beginning of the courses ands cheudling cycle. We are regularly updating and adding help pages. See the menu on the left of this page for all the help pages we currently offer. If something is missing, drop us a line at email@example.com .
Helpful reports, updated nightly, showing the current set-up of courses and scheduled classes can be found in ReportMart1 . Follow this path:
The Registrar's Office also provides an administrative interface to the online ExploreCourses resource. This interface provides you with all fields of information relevant to the administrator; it also provides a way to export found sets of course to an Excel spreadsheet. See our ExploreCourses Administrative Interface page for help on how to use this resource.
