This Thursday, November 20, marks Transgender Day of Remembrance, a time during which we memorialize members of the transgender community who have lost their lives to anti-transgender violence, prejudice, and hatred. SSQL will be hosting a candlelight vigil that we hope will not only be a time of quiet reflection on the past year, but also will start discussions on gendered violence in our communities.
