What’s Happened

We are just starting to build the programmatic infrastructure for the neighborhoods. Some of our neighborhoods already took the initiative to host food trucks and café nights for the residents of their neighborhood.

Thank you to all of these neighborhoods for being proactive!

What’s Next

Community Councils: Our neighborhood community councils are launching this quarter!  These groups will be able to create programmatic opportunities to bring the neighborhoods together and build community and start to define local traditions and signature events.  We can’t wait to see what they come up with!

Want to help? Learn more about community councils and complete the  interest form by Thursday, January 13!

Students at Farm Day.

The community councils will have access to funding, including funding for late night and weekend programs and initiatives.  In addition, we are in the process of fundraising for a robust programming endowment to support residential programming.

Social Life

We are actively working to address the challenges of social life on campus.  We started a pilot project with students in 2019 called “The Social Project”.  That work is alive and well and we are using the findings from that project to launch an initiative that can impact campus more broadly.  We’ll keep you updated!
