Being There for Ourselves and Each Other

This month, let's explore ways we can flourish even when change and challenges arise, such as studying abroad, doing a coterm, or navigating the difficulties in the world. Change can be both exciting and overwhelming, and it also presents opportunities for growth, resilience, and self-discovery. We will discover ways to nurture our own well-being while also learning how to best support others, building a strong foundation for both personal and collective flourishing. Through reflection, practical strategies, and shared experiences, we can learn how to embrace change and hard times with confidence in our resilience, ability to adapt, and to transform.

My Stanford Experience as a 6th Year Coterm Student

Stanford has been more than just a place of learning- it has been a space of growth, connection, and transformation. From the wrestling mats to the classroom, my journey has been shaped by resilience, curiosity, and a commitment to well-being. As I prepare for the next chapter, I carry forward the lessons, relationships, and values that have defined my time here. This reflection is not just about looking back but about embracing the profound impact my Stanford experiences have had on my life.

Caring for Yourself in a World of Noise

It’s easy to get carried away in the changes and sufferings of the world or our lives. How do we hold space for the world’s pain without losing ourselves in it? How do we nurture our own well-being while remaining present to the struggles around us? How do we bring the focus inwards so we can show up better in our external lives?

Tip of the Month

Learning to Cheer Quietly

Being a good teammate is about making others feel supported. Cheering for your friends on the sidelines is a great way to let them know that you are there for them. In some cases, cheering for others may not take the form that you had originally envisioned, but that doesn’t mean that it is not impactful. Everyone has a different preference for how they feel supported. Learning to listen intently to our friends can make all the difference.
