Dear Colleagues,

The Office of Student Engagement is excited to announce Pete Cerneka as our new Associate Director. He will be managing the team responsible for student organization advising and leadership development. Pete joins us from Stanford's Haas Center for Public Service, where he served as the student-initiated program director since 2017.

More About Pete

In his former role, Pete worked closely with individual students, student organizations, and community and campus partners to help students engage in impactful public service. Pete brings his strengths in student advising and mentoring, and project development to OSE.

When not immersed with his work at Stanford, Pete enjoys spending time with his family - his wife Katie (a program manager at Stanford’s Precourt Institute for Energy), and daughters Violet (6) and Grace (5). He loves the great outdoors, music of all kinds, and is a big sports fan. He pulls for his hometown teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues, as well as Saint Louis University (his undergrad alma mater), University of Illinois basketball and, of course, the Stanford Cardinal. Go Cardinal!

We look forward to having you engage with him and our team in the future.

Sincerely,
Snehal
