Paul Brest, professor emeritus and former dean of Stanford Law School, will chair a new committee that will recommend principles for decision-making on requests to rename campus buildings and sites. An undergraduate and a graduate student, recommended by the ASSU, will be members of the committee.

Olympic swimmer Katie Ledecky has been named Female Athlete of the Year by the Associated Press. Ledecky is the first swimmer in 21 years to win the honor.
