The Stanford Families Working Advisory Group today released a report offering recommendations to address many of the challenges experienced by graduate student parents who juggle demanding academic, research and family responsibilities.

Students admitted to the Class of 2022 represent all 50 states, plus Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. Of the admitted class, 11.4 percent are international students by citizenship, representing 63 countries. The new class is 50.8 percent male and 49.2 percent female.

Themed “Uplifting Voices: Advocacy, Belonging and Community,” a three-day national conference held at Stanford earlier this month brought together approximately 200 first-generation students and 50 administrators representing colleges and universities from across the country.

Stanford will welcome prospective graduate students to campus Friday, March 16, for Graduate Recruitment and Diversity Day, an annual event designed to help recruit outstanding scholars who would contribute to the diversity of their academic fields and to the university’s graduate community.

A new Bing Overseas Studies Program in Hong Kong will open in 2019. From their home base in Hong Kong, Stanford students may also get the opportunity to pursue other academic and cultural offerings, including internships in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
