Stanford will welcome prospective graduate students to campus Friday, March 16, for Graduate Recruitment and Diversity Day, an annual event designed to help recruit outstanding scholars who would contribute to the diversity of their academic fields and to the university’s graduate community.

A new Bing Overseas Studies Program in Hong Kong will open in 2019. From their home base in Hong Kong, Stanford students may also get the opportunity to pursue other academic and cultural offerings, including internships in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.

Jelani Munroe, BA ’16, MA ’17, discovered a passion for economics and public policy on the Farm. An international student from Jamaica, Munroe also developed his singing voice with Talisman a cappella through performances on campus, and on tour in the United States and in South Africa.

Sughra Ahmed has spent most of her adult life building cross-faith and cross-cultural bridges between individuals and communities in the United Kingdom. She joined the Stanford community as associate dean for religious life in November 2017.
