Need help during the winter break? Stanford University will be closed for regular business from Thursday, December 21, through Wednesday, January 3. If you are in crisis and need immediate assistance, a good place to start is the Resident Director on call (undergraduates) or Graduate Life Office dean on call (for graduate and professional students).

Resident Director On-Call
A Resident Director on-call is available to help undergraduates 24/7 if you are in a crisis and need immediate assistance that cannot wait until winter quarter begins. The RD on call can be reached at 650.504.8022.
Graduate Life Office Dean On-Call
A Graduate Life Office dean on-call is available to help graduate and professional students 24/7. If you are in a crisis and need immediate assistance that cannot wait until winter quarter begins, you can page the GLO Dean on call by following the instructions below. If you can wait, please email us and a GLO Dean will get back to you when winter quarter begins.
- Text the GLO pager at 25085@pageme.stanford.edu. Include your name, your return phone number, and reason for paging in the message. Please note, this is not an email address and the number of characters we can view are limited. We will call you back for the details.
- Call the GLO pager at 650.723.7288. You will reach a Stanford operator. Provide pager ID #25085 and indicate that you need to reach the graduate dean on-call.
Vaden Health Services
Vaden winter closure hours and services are posted here. Additionally, the following health resources are always available to students:

- TimelyCare is offered as a supplement to Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Vaden Medical Services, and other Vaden and on-campus resources.

Stanford University Department of Public Safety (DPS)
The Stanford University Department of Public Safety (DPS) endeavors to be a consultative resource for all members of the community and can be reached 24/7 at 650.329.2413.
Harassment and Discrimination Reporting
All members of the Stanford community can play a role in preventing harassment and discrimination, and the university is committed to taking action to prevent and remedy these acts. To do this, the university needs to be made aware of them if they occur. This website is a primary means for the university to learn of these actions.
Confidential Support Team (CST)
Confidential Support Team (CST) telephone support is available for all students impacted by sexual assault and relationship violence 24/7 at 650.725.9955. (confidential resource)
Stanford SHARE Title IX Office
The Stanford SHARE Title IX Office will be closed. Please contact the Resident Director on-call (undergraduates) or Graduate Life Office dean on-call (graduate and professional students) for non-confidential assistance and referrals.
YWCA @ Stanford
The YWCA @ Stanford will have walk-in hours available on December 21 and will be closed from December 22 through January 2. For immediate in-person crisis assistance and counseling services, contact the YWCA 24-hour Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, and Human Trafficking Crisis Support Line at (800) 572-2782.
Bechtel International Center
Bechtel International Center will be closed Dec. 21 through Jan. 3. Students with urgent needs can write to icenter-winterbreak@stanford.edu, which staff will be monitoring.
Office for Religious and Spiritual Life
The Office for Religious and Spiritual Life will be closed. Information about Advent and Christmas services at Memorial Church is available on the ORSL website.
Student Services Center
The Student Services Center will be closed and offers basic support by telephone only at 650.723.7772.
Student Technology Support
Student Technology Support is closed for winter break. Tech Resources & Support has Stanford-specific, self-service help guides available for many technology problems as well as answers to common questions.
- Closed Winter Break: December 21 - January 3 (no services)
- Open December 18 - December 19, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.; December 20, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. (in-person visits by appointment only)
- Reopening January 4 - January 5, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (in-person visits by appointment only)
- Resuming regular hours January 7
Residential & Dining Enterprises
Residential & Dining Enterprises housing operations staff are available during winter closure.
- During winter break all Graduate Housing Service Centers will maintain normal business hours, except for the following dates:
- All Graduate Housing Centers will be closed Monday, December 25, 2023, to Tuesday, December 26, 2023 and on Monday, January 1, 2024.
- The EVGR Housing Service Center will be:
- Open and available by phone at 650.497.7995 and email on Sunday, December 24, 2023, and Sunday, December 31, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Closed from Monday, December 25, 2023, to Tuesday, December 26, 2023, and on Monday, January 1, 2024.
- For undergraduates, the Ginkgo Housing Service Center at Crothers Hall will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on university holidays (Monday, December 25, 2023; Tuesday, December 26, 2023; and Monday, January 1, 2024). You can reach the Ginkgo Housing Service Center at 650.721.2765 or through this contact form.
- Please note, all undergraduate residences will close at noon on Saturday, December 16, 2023, and reopen at 8 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024. Students will not have access to the residences and card access will be turned off during the closure.
