Resources for Students During Winter Closure 2024-25

Here's a quick reference for students who need a hand from Dec. 21 to Jan. 3.

Need Help During the Winter Break? 

Stanford University will be closed for regular business from Saturday, December 21, through Friday, January 3. If you are in crisis and need immediate assistance, a good place to start is the Resident Director on call (undergraduates) or Graduate Life Office dean on call (for graduate and professional students).

Resident Director On-Call

A Resident Director on-call is available to help undergraduates 24/7 if you are in a crisis and need immediate assistance that cannot wait until winter quarter ends. The RD on call can be reached at 650.504.8022.

Graduate Life Office Dean On-Call

A Graduate Life Office dean on-call is available to help graduate and professional students 24/7. If you are in a crisis and need immediate assistance that cannot wait until winter quarter begins, you can page the GLO Dean on call by following the instructions below. If you can wait, please email the Graduate Life Office and a GLO Dean will get back to you when winter quarter begins.

  • Text the GLO pager at 25085@pageme.stanford.edu. Include your name, your return phone number, and reason for paging in the message. Please note, this is not an email address and the number of characters able to be viewed are limited. The Graduate Life Office will call you back for the details.
  • Call the GLO pager at 650.723.7288. You will reach a Stanford operator. Provide pager ID #25085 and indicate that you need to reach the graduate dean on-call.

Harassment and Discrimination Reporting

All members of the Stanford community can play a role in preventing harassment and discrimination, and the university is committed to taking action to prevent and remedy these acts. Student Technical Support is staffed with friendly, knowledgeable Stanford students and staff who are ready to help you. The Bechtel International Center is Stanford’s hub for international students, scholars and families. It serves the international community at Stanford, as well as U.S. students interested in scholarships for study and research abroad. Memorial Church is closed from December 21 to January 5 except for Advent and Christmas Services.
