Learning Technologies & Spaces supports the shared infrastructure of learning technologies and spaces to help facilitate exceptional teaching and learning. We design, implement, provide, operate, and support an ecosystem of platforms, tools, and services as well as technology-rich classrooms and learning spaces.

Learning Technologies & Spaces Units

The aim of LTS is to provide great experiences for faculty and students in the use of instructional technology and classrooms to create engaging and accessible learning experiences for our students. 

LTS supports the shared infrastructure of learning technologies and spaces to help facilitate exceptional teaching and learning. We design, implement, provision, operate, and support an ecosystem of platforms, tools, and services as well as technology-rich classrooms and learning spaces. Our aim is to provide great experiences for faculty and students in the use of instructional technology and classrooms to create engaging and accessible learning experiences for our students.

The lab is to provide resources, facilities, and support for language instruction and learning to the entire Stanford community. The lab supports a variety of large scale online assessments in Canvas, including Oral Diagnostic Assessments (ODAs), EFS placement reading tests, and 600+ Simulated Oral Proficiency Interviews (SOPIs) every Spring Quarter.

The Hub is a study space and your one-stop shop for student technology needs at Stanford. Whatever your technology needs are, we’ve got you covered. Borrow an iPad from the Tech Desk, or troubleshoot your laptop's network connection with Student Technical Support. In the study area, check out our iMacs which you can use to access over 100 different software applications, including video editing and CAD modeling, or use a group study room to collaborate with friends.

Meet Richard Webber

Richard Webber, Associate Vice Provost and CTO for Learning Technologies and Spaces, & the Interim Associate Vice Provost for Student and Academic Services and University Registrar, joined Stanford in 2010 to lead the development and support of the learning and library management systems.
