Associate Vice Provost for Administration and Interim Associate Vice Provost for Experiential Education
The associate vice provost for administration manages the vice provost’s executive administrative team, facilitates the distribution of resources for the Vice Provost for Student Affairs and the other Associate Vice Provost units within Student Affairs and supports all division-wide initiatives, programs and events. The Associate Vice Provost is also overseeing Experiential Education on an interim basis. The AVP also communicates university policies and procedures across the division and participates in university-wide groups, such as the University Management Group.
In 2016, Margaret Dyer-Chamberlain became the associate vice provost for administration in Student Affairs. From 2009–16, she was senior research scholar and managing director at the Stanford Center on Longevity. Prior to this, she served as the senior director of capital planning and space management for Land, Buildings and Real Estate. During her 15 years at Stanford, Margaret has had numerous occasions to work with Student Affairs, including the renovations of Tresidder Memorial Union and Old Union.
